Very Good- condition, missing dust jacket. Significant rubbing/wear to corners as well as head and tail of spine. Sound binding, tanned but unmarked pages. The front free endpaper bears a handwritten personalized inscription from the author himself, dated August 21st 1926. It reads: "My dear Marie: -- My very best wishes! I'll not forget this very happy evening in a long, long time. Sincerely, Karl Detzer"
